FDIC Open Meeting Webcast Tomorrow

Want to know what the Washington wonks are planning on doing or not doing about prepaid cards and mobile financial services?

On Thursday, December 1 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. the FDIC Advisory Committee on Economic Inclusion (ComE-IN) will be holding an open meeting to:

“discuss  developments and innovations in the delivery of financial services, including mobile financial services and prepaid cards. …  it will be important for us to understand their actual capabilities as well as the risks they may present to all consumers, including the unbanked and underbanked.”

The meeting will be held in the 6th floor Board Room at the FDIC headquarters, 550 17th St., NW, Washington, DC

Reverse Mortgage Seminars

  • June 14 at 6-8 p.m. at the Waltham office
  • June 28 at 6-8 p.m. at the Peabody Office

Homebuyer’s Seminar

  • June 15 at 7-9 p.m. at the Newton office

AAA Mortgage Seminars

Sign up for Home Buyers Seminars and Reverse Mortgage Seminars offered by AAA Southern New England.  Tonight, Wednesday, November 3 at 6:30, AAA Burlington will be hosting an informative workshop for first time home buyers.

“The importance of credit, selecting a real estate agent, purchase and sales agreements, difference between home inspections and appraisals, financing products and qualifications”  will all be covered.

The event will be repeated in Quincy on December 8.

The Needham office is hosting a Reverse Mortgage seminar on Tuesday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m.  “The pros and cons of reverse mortgages, concentrating on the HUD-approved FHA Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), the mechanics of the FHA insurance and eligibility requirements” will be discussed.

If you are prefer to learn at home, both seminars will be presented as Webinars:  Reverse Mortgages on November 18 and Home Buyers on November 30.  Registration is required.
